Scope of Work
The following is documentation of resources and activities to be referred to by Impact Passaic (IP) support staff in Year 1 to facilitate the completion of task force objectives. The document may be added to and edited by task force members throughout the year.
Resources needed (with examples of sources)

- Access to publications/peer-reviewed literature
- Databases – NJSHAD, County Health Rankings RWJF; Passaic database; DOE data to be released
- Paterson kids count
- Boys and Girls Club, YMCA, church youth groups, youth leadership retreat (annually held – peer connections, court involvement), Camp Hope, Youth Service Conference – documentation, live data opportunity (Dec, first Friday)
- PCCC youth rise counseling program
- Passaic County Education Association – educators, potentially break into sub- group options, geographically
- Funding
- Passaic County has approved the hire of an Impact Passaic staff member to facilitate daily operations of the IP objectives
- CUMAC has restricted funding for youth/young adult support in Year 1
- Additional funding/resource opportunities for Year 2 are ongoing
- ARPA (American Rescue Plan); CNJG; identify youth funders beyond early childhood; Workforce Division One-Stop (potential stipends for IP)
Roles and responsibilities
Who should work on or be involved in these objectives?
- New county hire will be responsible for documentation collection, summarization, and presentation to task forces for decision making
- Young adults and adolescents from the community will serve as support for task force meeting logistics and community listening sessions
- William Paterson Community and Social Justice Department will facilitate community listening sessions and analysis of information collected
- Individuals with lived experience will review of documents/information and their summaries
Taskforce expansion – should be based on the selected population of focus
- Athletic coaches/admin; Big Brother Big Sister programs; school counselors/schools; empowerment-focused partner/advocate;
- Standards boards or commissions
- This task force should attend and network at other groups focused on similar work
- Youth Service Commission board; PCASA;
What leadership or implementation roles exist?
- Co-chairs include Passaic Department of Human Services and CUMAC are responsible for ensuring task force objectives are met in the agreed-upon timeline
Evaluation and dissemination
- IP task forces will meet in Nov/Dec of Year 1
- Note progress
- Identify overlapping themes, gaps, opportunities, language/terms
- Determine areas for collaboration in pilot programming
- Task forces will present Year 1 deliverables and Year 2 next steps in October 2023
- Share progress and results via community newsletters and listservs
